FINDING THE BALANCE

A successful training program is based on the systematic manipulation of four important training variables:

Frequency – How often you do a particular activity

Intensity – How hard you do that activity each time

Volume – How much of that activity you do over a period of time

Duration – How long each individual training session is

What works for one person may not be appropriate for you. Determining the best mix of training variables for you requires a detailed analysis of your goal events, fitness level, individual abilities, experience and time available for training. Threshold Performance identifies the optimal mix of variables for you and designs to suit your personal needs.
